The Central Bank studied 36 applications from various companies and departments. According to the regulator, more than a hundred different organizations wanted to join the project.
As a result, 14 companies were chosen. Among them are local financial institutions, a Spanish bank and an IT firm. At the moment, privacy and programmability are being developed at the cryptoproject. The DvP protocol is used for this.
At the same time, the agency plans to officially launch the project next year. The head of the department made a statement that this will enable banks to get motivation to tokenize assets, increasing productivity.
It should be noted that last month Visa conducted the development of solutions to integrate the central bank's cryptocurrency into the country's financial system. The company was able to present a special platform that can be programmed. It is designed for small and medium-sized businesses.
