An investigator in Moscow took a bribe in bitcoin, but it was withdrawn

According to the resolution of the Nikulinsky district Court of the capital, more than 1,000 bitcoins were seized from the ex-head of the investigative department.

What is known about the bribe

Marat Tambiev was recognized as a bribe taker. He held the position of head of the investigation department in the Tver region. He took funds in the amount of 1032.1 bitcoins from hackers Infraud Organization.

These coins were withdrawn in favor of the state. At the end of January this year, the amount was more than 1.6 billion rubles. Now it reaches more than $ 27.6 million or 2.3 billion rubles. The decision is not subject to appeal and is legal.

According to media reports, at the time of detention, the hacker group gave access to 10 cryptocurrency wallets. At the end of 2021, they were credited with a profit in the amount of 2064 bitcoins. Later, these assets were withdrawn from crypto wallets.

One of the hackers reported that Tambiev had requested over 2,718 bitcoins in the form of a bribe.
