BNB Chain will host another hard fork

BNB Chain is a blockchain developed by the Binance cryptocurrency exchange. It was launched in 2017 with a focus on managing crypto network developers and users. As the crypto exchange itself states, it does not play an important role in management. The other day, the development team announced two updates to the blockchain system at once.

Plato Hard Fork

This is the first hard fork that was going to be held this month. Plato is a BEP-126 solution launched on August 10th. The update has already passed and represents an improvement in the implementation of a high finality rate, which does not allow for the return of blocks.

The update was carried out on the block number 30724096. It is a high-speed finalizing mechanism. Due to this, the probability of reorganization of the blockchain will be reduced. It will also allow you to stabilize the release of blocks. Thus, the participants of the crypto network will be able to instantly receive correct data from the last completed block.

The chief architect of blockchain solutions, Arnaud Bauer, explained that BEP-126 allows you to increase the security and efficiency of the network. This is done thanks to the mechanism of high finality rate.

Bauer noted that by this means the main concept of blockchain. It concerns the moment when an operation or block is no longer capable of being changed or canceled. Finality plays an important role to maintain a high level of trust and avoid double spending in the blockchain system.

The BEP-126 solution allows you to achieve a high speed of completion due to several stages. Validators offer a crypto network block. It is distributed among other validators. After that, the block is signed. To do this, a private key is used, thanks to which a notification about the voting is created. After that, the voices will unite. If there are the required number of them in the parent block, then the validators' votes are collected in a pool and also combined.

At the same time, validators need to follow the established rules during voting. For example, they cannot publish different voices at the same pitch. In addition, the rules additionally set when the block becomes "aligned". This happens when there is a certification in the title of the "daughter" of the block. It will be completed when the block and its "daughter", which has a direct connection with it, are aligned.

The branch will be the longest chain, even if there is the most reliable block. At the same time, the created blocks and the final ones meet different requirements for the number of validators needed.

In addition, they are rewarded for participating in the voting. If the validator violates the rules, it will be shortened, as well as the confirmation protocol in the Ethereum network.

Hertz Hard Fork

This update will be held on August 30. It is aimed at supporting the BNB crypto network within the framework of past developments in the Ethereum virtual machine blockchains. According to the expert, the Binance crypto network will update block structures, operations and the basic EVM to match all the forks in Ethereum. We are talking about the Berlin and London updates.

According to the specialist, it is important to ensure compatibility. Therefore, the EIP data will be included in the BNB Chain to ensure smooth development and scaling of the crypto network.

Brower also added that the high completion rate mechanism will allow for a more secure system for dApps. It will also speed up the completion of operations, which will give a higher response rate, as well as increase the efficiency of decentralized applications based on the BNB Chain ecosystem.
